Katherine Freese, the Jeff and Gail Kodosky Endowed Chair in Physics, won the 2019 Lilienfeld Prize from the American Physical Society for her research on dark matter and the origins of the universe. Her work in the field of cosmology and book The Cosmic Cocktail: Three Parts Dark Matter have greatly contributed to our understanding of physics.
